Another challenge entry!

Made this card for The Card Concept Challenge!  Checkout the blog at the card below.  I guess I need to learn how to add a link in my posts but this will at least tell you where to look for the challenge.

My card base is SU’s Flirty Flamingo.  The next layer is from Michael’s a beautiful gold foil with white roses embossed on it.  I then added a triangle of black CS from SU and used a stencil to add Facetten-Lack Crakling Color in Gold on it.  My sentiment is in Catherine Pooler’s Midnight ink on Flirty Flamingo.  The polka Dot flower and the white flower are from Creative Memories.  The Flirty Flamingo flower is from SU’s Petal Potpourri stamp set.  I hope I followed the guidelines well enough.img_1951

Entered into Simon Says Stamp Challenge

The challenge is to use something new so I used two things New to me.  My Prismscolor colored pencils which were my Christmas present to me and a stamp Set from the MFT Fancy Flowers Card Kit that I just received.  I also used an embossing powder that was included in a kit I purchased in 2014 from SSS.  It is called Enchanted Gold.

I stamped the flowers and leaves in Catherine Pooler Designs Midnight.  I then colored them and used the matching dies to cut them out.  I heat embossed the sentiment in Enchanted Gold on Stampin Up cardstock cut to 4x 5 1/4.  I used foam squares to pop the flowers up to add dimension.  Hope you like it!img_1950

First Post Of 2017!

I can’t believe we are now in the year of 2017!  Back in the dark ages when I was young it never crossed my mind that someday we would be in the year 2000 let alone in 2017.  I wonder how many of you did the same thing?  Please let me know what you thought especially if you were born before 1960!

One more Card in 2016!

I Had so much fun making this one.  In my mail on Friday I received the December card kit called Fancy Flowers from MFT.  I cut the frame in gold foil paper, the frame die is from Spellbinders.  Then I stamped the flowers and leaves on Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor card stock and heat embossed with WOW Opaque Bright White regular embossing powder and used my Kurtake Gansai Tambi watercolors to paint the flowers and leaves.  I used No. 34 and No. 40 for the pink flower and No. 33 and No. 40 for the orange flower.  The leaves were done with No. 53.  I then used the matching dies to cut them out when I was sure the paper was completely dry.  For my card base I used MFT heavyweight card stock in smooth white to make an A2 card.  I used the HUGS die included in the kit to cut it below my frame and flowers.  I need lots of practice with my water coloring so plan to do lots more in the New Year!

Until next time, Sharonimg_1797
